Bort-les-Orgues, Barrage de,
Primarily known for its big predatory fish, this water has begun to catch the attention of carpanglers as well in recent years. Recommended areas to fish are at Labesette, Port-Dieu and Pont d’Arpia. Domaine public.

Causse, Plan d’eau du, Lissac, Brive-la-Gaillarde.  
This was one of the first french waters attracting many of the known english experts to the continent, and Kevin Maddocks has made one of his films here. The fishing can be excellent - but also quite hard at times - and the carp go to 28 kg at least. Another name for the place is Lac de Chasteaux.
From Limoges follow RN20 to Brive, follow the signs signaling the lake. There is a camping site at the lake at Lissac.

Nice forrest-lake, not far from Barrage de Chastang on the Dordogne. Mostly known for its predatory fish, the lake also has a stocking of good carp. Féderation de pêche de Corrèze, phone 05 55 26 11 56.

Neuvic, Lac de, Neuvic, Limousin.
This 5 km long and 297 ha. lake was created in 1945, and holds a very varied head of different species, including carp. Nightfishing allowed at île d'Yeu, where very comfortable swims has been made in a shallow bay, and at a stretch upstreams the digue d'Yeux (D 183), and from the digue d'Yeux to the Pont de Pellachal (D 982). Plantade, Ballastière de la ,
Nightfishing autrorized on this water at the confluence of the Dordogne river and the river Rhue.

Sablier, Retenue de

Val Bort Les Orgues, Lac de,
This reservoir on the Dordogne is 1100 ha. - 20 km long and wide to 1,5 km. The carp population is important, and with the lake record of 27 kg from 1998, it's surprisingly few who actually fish for them. 4 rods allowed, but no nightfishing. Banks are in places rather inaccessible and steep - but more gentle slopes are found as well - and these are the areas most often fished.
Carte IGN Serie Bleue no. 2333E would be of good help to find access to the water.

Vezère, Saint-Pantalèon-de-Larche.
Nightfishing on these stretches:
- Mansac, on the right bank from the RD 39bridge to 50 meters upstrems the Digue de la Centrale des Escures
- Larche from the Viaduc SNCF St. Pantaléon d'Larché to the RD151 bridge.
- Servières le Chateau, from the Barrage EDF to the western limit of the camping.
