Bonnemain, Étang de, commune de Bonnemain
This small lake of 4 ha., also called Étang de Sablionnière, is well known for many carp of 10-15 kg+ - and several 20 kg+ have been banked. As the water is rather pressurized, the fishing is rather difficult. 

Breton, Étangs du, Le Pertre, Vitré
This private fishery have two lakes to offer - the Birches lake and the Poplars lake. Carp to 40 lbs+ are present in both lakes, with many twenties and thirties bo back them up. Cantache, Plan d'eau de, Vitré, Rennes
This reservoir of 250 ha on the river Vilaine hosted the World National Carp Championship in late august 2002. It's a very young water, created in 1996, but well stocked with carp. Average size 5-6 kg - but present in impressive numbers. I've no info of the results of the event.

Chamboux, Lac de, Saulieu.
This reservoir of 72 ha is divided into 3 by digues, and in the bigger one, the carp are abundant. Quite uniform and sandy bottom.

Chapelle Erbrée, Barrage de,
This 155 ha lake is not very wide, but extend for 12 km of banks. Access is quite good. The carp here are a bit on the smallish side end not many fish exceeds 10 kg. 
No nightfishing authorized any more (2004). 

Chaumecon, Lac de,
The 7 km banks are rather steep along this 135 ha. rocky and quite deep water. Sunken trees are to be considered on the bottom. Big carp are present. Nightfishing is not allowed, and boats are not allowed from january 28 to may 10.

Chevré, Étang de, La Bouexiere
Nightfishing allowed 2004 on a sector from the end of the path to the Pont Romain to the end of the Bois du Taillis du Val.

Haute Vilaine, Le barrage de la, La Chapelle-Erbrée
Nightfishing 2004 from the D24 bridge to main outlet at Nétumières.

Marcillé-Robert, Étang de,

- Mordelles  at the confluence with the Vaunoise to the big bridge - on the left bank.

Muez, Étang de, 
27 acre mature lake, several hundred years old, now english run and owned commercial venue with both an old carp stock, with specimens told to go to 40 lbs+, and in 2004 topped up with a load of new fish to 32 lbs+. No nightfishing authorized any more

Saint-Agnan, Lac de, Commune de Saint-Agnan.
Nightfishing is probably not allowed on this 150 ha. forrest water any more - it's not on the list from the Fédération de pêche this year.
The banks are not easily accessible everywhere, so a boat with electrical outboard is recommended to be able to reach the more quiet swims. Big specimens roam the sandy bottoms.

Vilaine,  
Nightfishing on several sectors:
- at bief n°10 du Gai Lieu to l'écluse de la Molière on the right bank.
- from Pont de la Rocade Ouest de Rennes to the Station d'épuration de Baurade.
- On the bank along the public road to the Carrières de Montserrat (St Senoux) to the Pont de Macaire - on 2 Km.
- From Viaduc de Corbinière (Langon) to Pont de Beslé on the tow-side.
- from the inlet of the Don to Pont de la Grossinais on the tow-side, and on the ancien course of the Vilaine on the right bank.

Trémelin, Lac de, Iffendic, Bretagne.
This lake of 38 ha. is only 30 km away from Rennes. With a maximum depth of 6 meters by the dam, it is well stocked with carp - and fish of 19,1 and 19,7 kg has been reported. Nightfishing 2004 an all the lake. Permits can be purchased in Iffendic.

Tremezou, Étang de, le Pertre, Vitré
10½ acre private venue well stocked with carp to 45 lbs - and the average fish 20 lbs.. Groups of 4 can book the anglers lodge on the lake. Run by "Carp and Coarse Fishing Holidays".
