Bellebouche, Étang de, Mezieres-en-Brenne,
This is only one of 1.270 lakes in the Brenne area! Fishing is thousands of years of age here .... Both a camping site and cottages for hire are available all year round - and so are big carp. The stocking in this 100 ha lake is not that dense at all - which leaves room for the ones present to grow really big. Carefull re-stockings are however undertaken to persuade the fish to leave the reserves a bit more than they usually do. Several fish top 20 kg+ - and 80% of them top 10 kg+.  Phone 02 54 38 32 36.

Water of 350 ha., recommended by local clubs for carp fishing. Nightfishing allowed at the Plage des Quartiers. Limit upstream : commune de Saint-Plantaire (Lagunage) Limit downstream: Barre rocheuse. 300 meters at the place called "Ponton des PTT" 

Fortinieres, Étang, Chateauroux

Fouzon, Varennes-sur-Fouzon 
Nightfishing from 15 m upstream the RD4 (route de Chabris) bridge to the handicap swim on the left bank of the river. 

Lancosme, Domaine de, Parc Naturel de la Brenne, Méobecq
On this private estate, the 50 ha. Étang de Fosse Noire offers really fantastic angling in beautifull surroundings. despite the size of the water, only 7 numbered swims are available - and swims no. 5, 6 and 7 being the most popular. Another small water is available, l'Étang de Château Robert og 3 ha, only leaving room for one angler. A third of the fish in both etangs are 10 kg+ - slightly more on the big lake, where fish of 14 to 16 kg turns up quite frequently. Mirror carp of 21,6 kg reported. Les Vigneaux, La Brenne, Chateauroux.
These two small, shallow private waters are found in an ancien carp-farming area between Chateauroux and Chatellerault. Carp to 20 kg and grasscarp to 16 kg has been caught here - in spite of the depth not exceeding approx. 1 meter! Nightfishing allowed. The name of the owner is Bertrand Lefebure.

Maison du Lac Bleu, Le Pirouet.
No less than 8 étangs constitute the 150 ha, of which 4 is reserved carp - and 3 of them can be fished. These lakes has been stocked with carp from 10 to 25 kg. Accomodations available.
