Here, you fish in the middle of the city - off the quais.

Cure, Vermenton, 
Nightfishing from the railway bridge to Barrage de Vermenton on the left bank; the habour included (Lots 5 and 6) and from the downstream limit of the harbour to the Camping de Vermenton

- Lot N° 17, both banks from 50 m downstream l'écluse des Dames to Perthuis de Prégilbert and the Porte de Garde de Pregilbert (750 m).

Martin-Pêcheur, Étang du, Montereau
This commercial venue is run and owned by english ace Kevin Maddocks as part of his "Les Beaux Lacs" enterprise, also running the lakes Unique and Petit Unique. Étang du Martin-Pêcheur is well suited for a family fishing holiday, and the lake is well stocked. Lake record is 62 lb 10 oz. Toilets and showers available, as well as barbecues and tables and drinking-water tabs around the lake.

Unique + Petit Unique, Lacs
These two adjacent gravel pits of 5 and 1½ acres are run by Kevin Maddocks as a part of his "Les Beaux Lacs" enterprise. The two waters cater for the big-fish specialists, and only 4 anglers are allowed on each lake at a time. Toilet available, but drinking water is not. Parking is possible very near the swim.

Yonne, Montereau.
It was from river Yonne at Montereau, where the river reaches the river Seine, that Marcel Rouvière  july 7. 1981 caught the world record carp at 37,2 kg. Unfortunately the carp were not allowed to survive this capture, and it was killed - as was normally done in those days in France.
Actually this is not the only huge fish has been caught from this area - and it still produces astonishing fish from time to time. Several small damms slows the current down and produces many interesting features bound to hold good carp. Certainly an area still worth a closer look for determined anglers.
