Aigueblette, Lac de, Chambery,
This lake of 350 ha. in the Savoian alps is not easy to fish, as only quite few swims are availble. Carp  to 27 kg has been reported, but the population is not dense and not evenly distributed. Nightfishing is not allowed, and some reserves are also present, where fishing is not allowed. Several camping sites are present at the lake


Bourget, Lac de, Aix-les-Bains, 
This big alpine lake of 4460 ha. is classified in prèmière categorie of the Domaine Public. It holds a lot of big, long and lean commons, that virtually noone fishes for. It's also known for the powerfull rainstorms in the area from time to time. 4 rods are allowed. 

Sainte-Hélène, Lac de, Chavanne.
With the snowcovered alps in the background, this 25 ha. water is incredibly beautifull. The stock of very big carp to 30 kg+ are said to be quite impressive - and wels catfish to 52 kg are also present. AAPP de Sainte-Hélène-du-Lac runs the water. No nightfishing.
